摘要: 对基于小波变换的图像压缩算法的符号编码进行了分析, 针对小波变换后系数符号呈等概分布不利于压缩的问题, 提出了一种使用图像活动性度量的符号预测算法. 实验表明, 符号预测误差信号的概率分布具有不均匀性, 可以提高符号压缩的效率.

Abstract: The sign coding of the image compression algorithm based on the wavelet transform is analyzed.To solve the problem that it is hard to compress the equally distributed wavelet coefficient signs,a sign prediction algorithm is proposed using the activity measure of the image.The simulation indicates that the prediction error has the property of unequally distributed probability, which results to more efficient sign compression.
