摘要: 以数值模拟的方法研究了密集色散管理孤子(DDMS)系统中偏振模色散(PMD)效应的影响。对于色散管理强度S>4,色散管理周期越密集,即色散管理深度越大,相对应于常规孤子的能量增强因子越大,由此引起的对两偏振态的非线性束缚使得PMD对DDMS系统的影响越小。当S<2时,不同的色散管理周期对应的能量增强因子相同,故PMD对系统的影响与色散管理深度无关。在考虑损耗的情况下,DDMS系统受PMD的影响与忽略损耗的情况相同。

Abstract: Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) effect in denselydispersion-managed soliton (DDMS) systems is studied by numerical simulations.For DDMS with map strength S>4, the larger the dispersion section number, the larger the map depth, which corresponds to large power enhancement factor compared with conventional solitons and strong nonlinear trap to enhance the tolerance the DDM solitons to PMD. For S<2, DDMS systems with different map depthexhibit the same PMD robustness since different section number corresponds to the same power enhancement factor. Moreover, the same tolerance is proved in lossand lossless systems.
