摘要: 流控制传输协议SCTP是IETF新近提出的一种用于在基于IP的网络上传输信令消息的传输协议。本文讨论了该协议及其安全和高效数据传输机制,以及使其优于已有协议的特性,并对SCTP与TCP的时延性能进行了初步分析,进一步讨论了SCTP的可能应用及展望。

关键词: 传输协议, 信令传输, 七号信令, 流控制传输协议

Abstract: Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) is newly proposed by IETF,which is to be used for the transport of telecommunication signalling messagesover IP network. Describes SCTP, its security and highly efficient transport mechanism and its characteristic that makes it superior to existing protocol such as TCP and UDP, analyzes the delay performance of SCTP comparing withTCP. In addition, the possible application scenarios and the prospect of SCTP are also described.
