Abstract:

In response to the request of seamless handoff for streaming video service in heterogeneous IP network, a stepbystep linklayer trigger mechanism is proposed to guarantee the veracity of handoff under fast mobile IPv6 （FMIPv6） protocol structure. Analysis and simulation results show that handoff latency could be reduced by making use of dejitter buffer window of streaming video traffic to satisfy the near realtime service.
