Abstract

Abstract: A joint overload-signal spread-spectrum/packet reservation multiple access (OSSS/PRMA) protocol for the uplink channel in CDMA communication system is proposed. We introduce the overload signal in our protocol, which reduce the probability of the collision. The simulation results show that the data packet delay and voice packet dropping probability have been greatly improved compared with CDMA/PRMA protocol with adaptive permission probability control.
