摘要:

从理论上对基于铌酸锂( LiNbO3 )光波导外调制器的各种高速光码型调制技术进行了统一的数学分析和比较.比较分析表明,由于频谱结构紧凑和实施简单,非归零码( NRZ)在中短距离高速传输系统中有很好的应用;而差分相移键控-载波抑制归零码( CSRZ-DPSK)由于具有较好的频谱结构、抗色散、非线性特性和实现成本,将成为长距离高速光纤传输系统中调制格式的最佳选择之一.

Abstract:

Mathematical analysis and comparison are made amonghigh speed optical modulation formats using LiNbO3 optical waveguide modulators. The results indicate that the NRZ (non return-to-zero) format with compactmodulation bandwidth and simple configuration seems to be desirable in the highbit rate and short/medium distance optical fiber transmission. On the other hand, the CSRZ-DPSK (differential-phase-shift-keyed carrier-suppressed return-to-zero) format with better modulation spectrum, high dispersion and nonlinearity tolerance and moderate cost is shown to be one of the best choices for thehigh bitrate and long haul optical fiber transmission.
