An Algorithm for Allocating Wavelength Converters in All-Optical Networks

Abstract: After presenting the functions of the wavelength converters in all-optical network,the network blocking probabilities are analysed.An algorithm for allocting wavelength converters in all-optical network is proposed and simulated.Simulation results show that the performance of the algorithm is close to that of the optimal ones in terms of blocking probabilites.However the time complexity of the algorithm is only O(3H+w2/2).
