Abstract: In order to analyze the characteristic of the self-similar traffic stream in the ATM networks, we propose a new on-line self-similar traffic stream generation algorithm, and analyze time/space complexity of our algorithm and other algorithms, it shows that the time/space complexity of ouralgorithm is lower.Through simulation, it shows that our algorithm can generategood self-similar traffic stream.
