Structure Optimization of Distributed Feedback Fiber Laser Sensor Array

Abstract: To solve the problem of power consistency of distributed feedback fiber laser (DFB FL) sensor array, an output power prediction model of the DFB FL WDM array is established. In the considered model, the laser is ranked by the method of difference optimization, and the power balance level of the array is further improved by adding a 980nm reflector at the end of the array to achieve the structure optimization of the DFB FL sensor array. The experimental results show that the power fluctuation level of the optimized array is significantly improved, and the problem of poor signal demodulation at the end of the array is solved, while the actual multiplexing capacity and the efficiency of the array are improved. The method is of value for the structural design of large-scale DFB FL sensor arrays.
