Noise Reduction Carrier Index Differential Chaos Shift Keying Modulation System

Abstract: To reduce negative effects of the noise interferences in the received reference and information signals in carrier index differential chaos shift keying system, a noise reduction carrier index differential chaos shift keying communication system is proposed. In this system, the transmitted chaotic signals are duplicated for several times and the averaging operation are performed on received signals to reduce the noise. Analytical bit error rate expressions over additive white Gaussian noise channel and multipath Rayleigh fading channels are derived and verified by Monte Carlo simulations. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed system can efficiently improve the BER performance of the carrier index differential chaos shift keying system with the same energy efficiency, transmission rate and carrier utilization.
