Abstract: In order to study the compensation effect of mode diversity receiving system based on photonic lanterns in satellite ground link under atmospheric turbulence a parallel light tube is used to simulate the parallel light of the underground link of the satellite, and the demonstration and verification experiments are carried out by using a 30cm receiving telescope. The experimental results show that the receiving power of fundamental mode that uses the photonic lantern is about 4dB higher than that of the single-mode fiber, and the total receiving power of three modes of photonic lanterns is about 5dB higher than that of the single-mode fiber. After receiving with photonic lanterns, the interruption probability decreases by more than 39%.
