Based on the IETF RFC3430 mothodology for using TCP as the transport protocol of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and the performance of SNMP , some SNMP over TCP management policiesis proposed .The policies reinforces and extends RFC3430 .By improving on SNMP ++ software , an implementation of SNMP over TCP is presented .Furthermore , some discusson supporting both TCP and UDP as SNMP transport protocol is presented , too.
