Research on TCP-Friendliness for Stored Layered

Abstract:  A fixed control interval for TCP-friendly rate control scheme according to self-similar nature of MPEG2 traffic is proposed. In addition, when buffers in access sets increase, network congestion may possess as long transmission delay , rather than packet loss. Therefore, a receiver-based rate estimation TCP-friendly algorithm ( RRETF) for rate control is put forward. In our simulations, good friendliness between TCP and UDP traffics can be obtained in various network environments.
