Abstract: For the expression of the theoretical performance analysis of K composite fading channels involving special functions, the closed-form lower bounds on the sum rate of three dimensional multiple input multiple output (3D MIMO) systems over K composite fading channels maximal-ratio combining (MRC) and zero-forcing (ZF) receivers were derived, which include multipath fading, shadow fading, path loss, radiation loss of 3D antenna and user distribution. In addition, the asymptotic performance analysis of massive MIMO systems in view of the lower bound was performed. Correctness of the analysis is provided by the computer simulation, which demonstrates that the lower bounds of the sum rate can approximate the Monte-Carlo simulating values sufficiently.
