Abstract:

To improve the overall performance of the network, a transmission mechanism of probability based on the Markov model has been proposedfair bandwidth allocation scheme between uplink and downlink flows. There is no need to make changes to the distributed coordination function protocol of station. Only by adjusting the minimum contention window and transmission probability of access point, the fairness between uplink and downlink can be achieved. Detailed simulation results show that the scheme can achieve fairness between uplink and downlink flows with the total throughput increased.
